Edit and deliver HD video projects using Avid and/or Premiere nonlinear editing systems. Videographer on field and studio shoots for corporate, documentary, and magazine programs, utilizing HD camera setup and operation, lighting setups and operation, and simple audio setups. Digitize, and edit HD video, audio, and graphics/animation elements on nonlinear television editing equipment Shoot HD video in field and studio locations; including composing images, camera operation, lighting setups and operation, and audio recording Train and lead hourly Temp student employees in the operation of HD editing, and field production equipment Note: This is a full-time, professional staff position, eligible for all full-time IU staff benefits. Required Qualifications REQUIRED : Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in a broadcast or high-end instructional or industrial video production company, one year of hands on experience with video production equipment, and experience as a Videographer and Editor in a fast-paced broadcast environment, including exposure to live multi-camera setups in both studio and remote. Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Possess a valid driver’s license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University. Strong journalism and story-telling ability. Well-rounded knowledge of all aspects of video production, including acquisition, post, transmission, and delivery essential. Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service orientation. Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information with a wide variety of individuals. Strong organizational and multitasking skills including ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in media, communications, or related field. Three years of experience with camera videography, lighting, audio, and editing on non-linear/digital editing systems. Working Conditions / Physical Demands Position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds of equipment cases; stand on feet, and/or sit in chair, for long periods; and load and unload heavy equipment from box trucks.
