Job Description

For more than 30 years MidWest Outdoors has been a leader in outdoor television programming. We are seeking a skilled outdoors Videographer/Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for filming and creating fishing and hunting stories, loves to travel, and possess experience using ENG- or DSLR-style cameras, solid editing skills, and proficiency in motion graphics.

Essential job duty will be to film fishing/hunting action, while directing the conversation to cover the topics of the day. Once filmed, you must be able to edit the footage, conforming to in-house and broadcast requirements.

Who you are:

· You have 1-3 years experience producing and editing video content

· You have preferably worked directly with/for clients

· You consider yourself to be an expert storyteller

· You understand the full production process, including camera operation, lighting and

audio capture

· You are a multitasker who can work on several video projects at once

· You are able to work with and direct a wide variety of personality types

· You are calm under pressure and can troubleshoot any production issues with ease

· You know how to communicate effective messaging as it relates to video content

· You can work independently

· You are legally able to travel both domestically and internationally, as needed for on-location projects (time away from home will be extensive)

Applicants must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time, and be comfortable with extremely long exposure to sun and/or snow (cold). Reliable transportation is mandatory.

Required Software experience: Adobe CC Premiere, After Effects, Audition, and Photoshop. Familiarity with FCP7 is a plus.

Interview candidates will be required to demonstrate their proficiency.
