Job Description

Pink Zebra Home is looking for an in-house photographer/videographer to add to our dynamic team based in Sugar Land, TX. Pink Zebra is an innovative direct sales company offering unique home fragrance products through Independent Consultants in all 50 states and Canada. We are searching for an individual that is experienced and well-versed with photography and videography. We have an extensive and diverse inventory of home fragrance and décor products that each require photos and videos that accurately display their aesthetics.

We have experienced enormous growth in the past few years and expect a hard-working individual that is effective at multitasking and would like to be able to grow long-term with our company.

The Role:

As photographer/videographer for Pink Zebra Home, you will be a major contributor to our sales and marketing teams. With the goal of increasing our capabilities, growing our brand awareness, and creating more, better content to support our growing product assortment and marketing strategies, we are adding an in-house photographer/videographer to our team. This role is a full-time in-house position.

This position requires proficiency with photo and video editing software such as Photoshop and Premiere Pro. We expect photos and videos to be efficiently taken and edited with a focus on both quality and speed. This process can require customized approaches depending on the product or setup, and will correspondingly necessitate adjustments to lighting, multiple camera angles, color corrections, audio restoration, and other aspects to producing exceptional photos and videos. There are also instances when photos and videos will need to be taken onsite at seasonal catalog shoots, company events, Consultant parties, etc.


  • Collaboration with sales, marketing, and product development team to create photo and video deliverables that communicate our brand and marketing goals and meet established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to establish processes with sales and marketing to ensure that projects run smoothly, and goals and deadlines are being met.
  • Contribute to the creative development of projects from storyboarding, product stylizing, script writing, and brainstorming in order to transform ideas into dynamic visual content for photo-shoots, videos, social media content, & instructional videos
  • Collaborate to assess goals of a project and determine what blend of assets are needed, including research/management of set/equipment and implementation as needed.
  • Stay up to date with trends, market standards, and has the ability to integrate them into video and photography
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while assessing multiple rounds of notes from a variety of stakeholders
  • Scripting and editing video in a way that increases shareability for social media outreach
  • Manage photo and video process from capture to final application
  • Manage a large and constantly growing library of assets and equipment
  • Research, rights clearance, and gather footage, music, and other assets from internal and external sources for use in projects

Skills needed:

  • Strong conceptual ability with knowledge of lighting, composition, camera/lens combinations, lighting, grip equipment, theory and techniques of modern digital photography and cinematography
  • Expert use of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Attention to detail (color correcting, audio, etc..) and understanding of how these details help communicate our brand and marketing goals.
  • Knowledgeable of best export/encoding practices for delivery across a wide range of channels: high-resolution still photography for print, video for broadcast, and optimized video and stills for social media
  • Productivity-focused, extremely organized, and proven to be a quick problem solver
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Self-driven and able to easily communicate both creative ideas both externally and internally and collaborate in a team environment

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3+ years professional video production experience
  • 3+ years professional photography experience
  • Script and video plan development
  • Digital asset management
  • Programs/Platforms
  • Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects - Advanced knowledge, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign), Google Apps, and Microsoft Office.
  • Education Level: Bachelor’s degree with a focus on the creative arts
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates expertise and judgment in the applied photography techniques (composition, lighting, capture, and processing), as well as pre-production and post-production steps


  • Adept at designing motion graphics & in-video assets for After Effects
  • Advanced experience with YouTube analytics
  • Experience with Live Social Media broadcasting – Facebook, Instagram and YouTube Live, etc.


  • Domestic and International 5-10% (the majority of travel is local)

Salary: $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
