The Creative Designer is responsible for conceptualization and implementation of design of solutions that meet marketing strategies from concept to completion.

Broad Description of Duties:
The creative designer will work primarily in Adobe Creative Suite. Daily projects will include designing digital, print and web graphics for Marcus Theatres within the sales, concessions, advertising and food & beverage departments with additional support to corporate departments as necessary.

This position reports to the Creative Services Manager.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:
Develop art and design content for Theatre division brands and products for use in marketing, advertising and promotional materials. Projects include but not limited to:
  • Create, identify, and execute original and engaging design solutions
  • Design marketing communication pieces including overall theme development, individual piece designs, etc.
  • Brainstorm and collaborate with creative and marketing teams to build conceptual and strategic solutions
  • Organize daily requests and projects
  • Create/provide art direction for motion graphics for digital network and on-screen use
  • Collaborate with other team members, freelance designers, and external vendors; assist design interns, providing art direction, workload management and development of design skills.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years design experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, or similar field
  • Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite including: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
  • Compelling portfolio of work exhibiting well-crafted layouts, strong typography and color
  • Outstanding communications skills - visually, verbally and in writing
  • Excellent project- and time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask, manage and meet multiple concurrent deadlines
  • Applicants must include portfolio when applying

Beneficial, but not required:
  • Photography or photo art direction experience
  • Knowledge or experience using Adobe After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere
  • Experience with audio/video production/story boarding
